A Coastal Destination.
The Wittering was established in 2022 as a relaxed and inviting free house and restaurant with seaside accommodation and a large private garden set near the blue flag beach of West Wittering and South Downs. The Wittering’s aim has always been to champion community spirit by showcasing local, seasonal and sustainable produce alongside thoughtful hospitality and comfortable bedrooms. We hope to create a memorable guest experience for all whether that is for an enjoyable meal, drinks by the fire, sun-downers in the garden or for somewhere calming and restful to stay. Our kitchen is at the heart of what we do whether that is for our East Restaurant, Fire Kitchen or our Coastal Cabin. Our menus follow the seasons, shaped by the best produce available and inspired by the coast, countryside, and ingredients on our doorstep. We aim to curate considered dishes that are nourishing as well as delicious using sustainably sourced ingredients from local growers, fishermen, producers, and suppliers who share our standards because great food starts long before it reaches the table.
